I spoke at Abundant Life Church (Matsumoto, near where they had the Olympics) on January 1st. May parents started this church and Jon, my brother, is continuing the work. I spoke on how the missionary & pastors are to disciple, equip and entrust the ministry to God's people (Matthew 28, Ephesians 4 and 2 Timothy 2). As I referred to the priesthood of the believer, I quoted 1 Peter 2:9-10. "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy." Wow! What mercy! What a privilege!
